Flooring Installation

Porcelain tile, hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, polished concrete, and large-format tile — installed to exacting standards by our in-house crew across all of South Florida.

Overview

What We Do

Flooring sets the tone for every room, and in South Florida's climate, material selection and installation technique make the difference between a floor that lasts decades and one that fails in a few years. IVG installs all major flooring types — from large-format porcelain tile to engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, and polished concrete — with the same crew that handles your full renovation. No subcontractors, no hand-offs. We handle substrate preparation, moisture barriers, leveling, and all associated trim and transition work, so every installation is done right from the ground up.

How It Works

Our Process

01

Free Estimate

We measure the space, assess the existing substrate, and provide a written fixed-price estimate covering materials, labor, prep, and trim.

02

Material Selection

We help you choose the right product for your space — considering traffic, moisture exposure, and budget — and source it directly from our suppliers.

03

Substrate Prep

We remove existing flooring, repair the concrete or subfloor, apply leveling compound where needed, and install moisture barriers before a single tile or plank goes down.

04

Installation & Finish

Our crew installs your flooring, cuts and fits all transitions and baseboards, cleans up completely, and walks you through the finished result.

FAQs

Common Questions

Porcelain tile and luxury vinyl plank (LVP) are the most moisture-resistant options and perform best in Florida's high-humidity climate. Engineered hardwood can also work well when installed with proper moisture barriers. We'll recommend the best option based on your specific space and exposure.
In some cases, yes — but it depends on the condition of the existing tile, the height differential at transitions, and door clearances. We assess this during the estimate. In many cases, removing the old tile and starting on bare concrete produces a better, longer-lasting result.
Cosmetic flooring replacement (like-for-like) typically does not require a permit. However, if flooring work is part of a larger renovation or involves structural substrate changes, permits may apply. We'll advise you during the consultation.
We use self-leveling underlayment to flatten floors before installation. This is critical for large-format tile especially — anything over 16×16 requires a very flat substrate to prevent lippage (edges that catch underfoot). We never skip this step.
Yes. We install commercial-grade flooring in offices, retail spaces, and restaurants throughout South Florida. Commercial projects often require specific slip resistance ratings and heavy-traffic-rated materials, which we source and install to spec.
We do our best to source matching material, but exact matches depend on whether the original product is still available. We'll show you options and recommend the closest match or a complementary transition design.
